History of Bhalaia

Settlers came to an island off the coast in 1823. In 1852, it became an independent, sovereign nation, as opposed to a colony of Beeorian.
It was careful diplomacy on the Islander's part, and because of Beeorian being involved in war efforts, it decided to let them go.
At first, Bhalaia was a democratic monarchy, but in 1910,  Celestiaran sent a delegation to Bhalaia and convinced them to switch to
a democratic system. Bhalaia was the fifth country to shoot a person into space, with their first astronaut in 2003.  The first nation to
have a goose as a nation mascot. Poetry is one of the most popular art forms in the country. The place where they filmed Lord Of The Things.
